Year 1 (Colwell Bay)
A warm welcome to Colwell Bay Class!
We have lots of fun in Year 1. We use lots of practical resources to help us with our learning. We have a big focus on phonics in Year 1 taught using Little Wandle and enjoy learning the sounds and actions to accompany them. In Maths, we learn strategies and resources to support us with addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. We also learn about shape, space and measure.
We enjoy learning inside and outside the classroom.
The class is taught by Mr Givens and is supported by Mrs Wickens.

PE Days
Health and Physical Education is a very important part of our curriculum. The HPE days for Year 1 are Tuesday and Friday. Please ensure your child comes to school wearing their PE Kit.
Homework
Homework will consist of daily reading.
